Building Turbines, Inc. announced the completion of an LED installation through its new subsidiary, Green City Planet, LLC. The efficient commercial lighting upgrade was completed at a Houston restaurant located in CityCentre, a complex including a mall, business space and residential units.
"The formation of Green City Planet, and other planned divisions, are an excellent example of implementing our vision of vertically, and/or horizontally integrating all technologies and aspects of renewable energy into a one stop shop for a total Green Energy Solution, for any urban environment," said John Graham, CEO of Building Turbines.
The company also finished preparations for an LED installation at the Physicians Center Project in Houston.
Although Building Turbines is focused on wind power generation, Green City Planet was established to help shift focus to LED lighting to take advantage of rebate programs and tax incentives offered for energy-efficient lighting upgrades.
Building Turbines Inc. is part of the Austin Green Energy Group. The Austin, Texas-based group is a volunteer organization that works to offer a more livable environment with sustainable resources.
